Grandma Janet had been working with Emerson for a while, trying to teach her what to do in an emergency situation.  She had taught her about calling 911 and thought she had done a pretty good job at educating her young granddaughter, although Emerson still hesitated a bit at times.

Janet, hoped to impress her sister, Nancy, who was visiting from San Francisco, so when Emerson and her sister, Olivia, came over for Janet’s birthday celebration with their Mom and Dad, Janet seized the opportunity.

“Emerson,” Janet said, getting her granddaughter’s attention, “what would you do if your Mom, your Dad, Aunt Nancy, Olivia and I all fell to the ground and were knocked out?”

Emerson paused only for a moment before responding, “I’d relax!”
