Rebuttals
All the stories that you read are rememberances, and as such, may be embellished or misconstrued. We therefore invite any of you who may have seen or heard about the same incident differently to respond with your version. We have set up a "Rebuttals" page where we will post your revised entries.
Are you kidding? That's not what happened!
No! No! No! I don't remember that at all!
They say “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” When it comes to remembering incidents and chapters of our personal lives, it becomes very apparent that “History is in the memory of the teller.” It is important, therefore, to keep the telling unedited.
As Haden wrote, “Nobody ever did touch up work on Cezanne’s painting of the Montagne Saint-Victoire because it didn’t represent the exact characteristics of the mountain. Our individual paradigms are what make us who we are. And our memories are simply refractions of those paradigms.
Sometimes our delusions of our past can tell us more about ourselves than the hard realities of the present.” However, different family members, who have shared these memories and chapters, may see things differently. Therefore, this is a place to voice your alternate views, your refutations, and your down right denials. Just as the original tellings will not be tampered with, so too, your rebuttals will remained untouched. REFUTE ON...
I never said that!!
Oh dear heavens, did you really thing that?
