“He’ll walk in to his toes then run away at the cold” they say. “He couldn't swim” they say.

THEY WERE WRONG. I race down as fast as I can, dune after dune, gritty step after gritty step, willing my way against the wind, the trees, the roaring waves. I run and dash ahead of my puny “caretakers” I'll show them I'll show them all!

I dash into the waves the waves with the brute force of a mighty ox. The pacific water dashes and dances around my ankles for the first time in my life. I go deeper, ignoring the bone rattling frigidness, my calves, my knees! Higher! I stop, realizing I don’t want to get my shirt wet, just as the water reaches my waist.

Took long enough, Ive earned my respect. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT I AM CAPABLE OF HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA… Oh my pants are soaked through and OH GOSH ITS SO COLD!!
