Melisa Moore Hickman is a native Californian, growing up in the Central Valley in Fresno. She has always been at home in the natural world. Whether she is camping, hiking, running or biking, climbing or walking, boating or skiing, the outdoors beckons to her constantly.

So it seemed right and good that she chose Yosemite as a place to consecrate her marriage to David Hickman in July of 2001.

Melisa adores animals, especially her two dogs, Tucker and Lexie, and she has touched many a child in her grade school classrooms with her dedication and devotion to teaching.

She also has a number of tattoos!

When a part of family gatherings, Melisa is counted upon to bring her most delicious baked goods, although she is adept at any aspect of entertaining. She also has a love of travel, her favorite place of which is Italy where she can use her fluent Italian to move about the villages and countryside.
