Opie, Max and Ruby

I like to go on line and look up stores or websites that sell stuff that I collect like Calico Critters, Kookie Pens, American Girl doll stuff, and Webkins.

Last week, on a day off from school, I found a site that sold Webkins. As I was looking at all the animals, I was so surprised to find there was a brand new one that is a dachshund dog. My Gramma collects dachshunds and has them all over her house.

She has daschshunds on her calendar, on a clock, on her tables, on her bed, on her couch, on her refrigerator, and she even has two special lighted cabinets where she keeps the really special ones.

But her favorite of all is her real one named Opie Dog.

I was so excited to see the new Webkin dachshund that I called Gramma right away even though she was working delivering mail. She picked up the phone, and I said, “Gramma, guess what?”

“ What?” she answered.

“I am on a website that has a dachshund Webkin.”

“No!” she yelled, “you’re kidding!”

“Nope,” I said. Gramma said to write down the name of the website, and when she got home from work she would order three of them! One for her, one for my sister, Emerson, and one for me! I said ok and hung up.

I didn’t know it, but Gramma was thinking and remembering a store we knew that sold Webkins. She wasn’t that far away, so she drove her mail truck right over and went in the store.

“Do you have a dachshund Webkin?” she asked.

“Yes we do.”

Well they had just three left and my GRAMMA BOUGHT THEM ALL! She called me up and said, “Olivia, guess what?”

“What?” I said.

“I went to the Webkin store and bought their last three dachshunds!”

“Really! Are they cute?”

“They are adorable, and I will bring them over after work.”

So she did, and we love them.

Gramma named hers Opie; Mine is Max, and Emerson’s is Ruby.

Max and Ruby are the names of two characters from our favorite cartoon, and Gramma is going to name her next two real dachshunds Max and Ruby. She is going to get a pair sometime sort of soon.

It was a great day, and I was so glad I was on the computer and ended up with an addition to my Webkin collection.
