I’m so amazed to think about the house in Florida; fishing for crabs (and they were crabs!)

 

The hardest thing for me has always been thinking back on how relationships are formed with parents and survive no matter what.  My relationship with Dang has always been lived through my relationship between my mother and Dang.  It is interesting how that affects how we view our grandparents, and how we view our relationships we’re going to have with them.

 

Dang and I really got to know each other when we went down to Florida.  I remember those trips we took down the Florida coast.  In the last few years it’s been very hard for me to strengthen my relationship with Dang because of her memory loss.

 

I’ll always remember her as being a very proud woman, and I’ll really miss her.
