Recording Family Legends for Generations to Come

Carol Davie Webster Tarlow
Carol was born in New Rochelle, New York on February 10, 1942, the first born of Beverly and Buzz Webster. She lived in Pelham, NY before going to London, England for two years, after which the family settled in Scarsdale, NY. Being the firstborn, Carol set the pace, and no one was able to catch her. She was the adventurer of the family. Carol attended St. Lawrence College, but became restless, so she took her junior year abroad with the Smith program at the Sorbonne. Upon graduating, she joined the Peace Corps and was stationed in Ouarzazate, Morocco for two years. There, she met and married M’hammed Skalli. Although the marriage didn’t survive, they had a daughter, Nadia Miriam who was later adopted by Carol’s new husband, Allan Tarlow. Carol earned high praise as an editor in the condensed book division of Readers’ Digest. One of Allan's passions was flipping houses, so the two of them moved around quite a bit, settling in Maui, Hawaii until Allan's death. Carol then moved to California to be nearer Nadia and her two grandchildren, Luca and Siena. She has devoted her retired life to her family, and especially enjoys her role as Nana.
