Luke Hickman climbs the wall at Mission Cliffs indoor climbing gym in San Francisco.
After learning his knots and being belayed (protected from falling) by daughter-in-law Melisa, Luke sets out to conquer the wall.
He waves a quick "Asta!" and up he goes. Mostly working the legs and using the hands to balance and support, Luke works his way one hold at a time and surpasses his own expectations, topping the climb with a triumphant slap of the top hold!
Easily the most senior fellow in the entire building, Luke wows his own kids and many of their friends who all hope they are as open minded and attracted to new experiences as Sensei Luke when they reach their own golden years. Bravo!
